Lyndhurst and Sunnyside

Today we headed across the river to visit the Lyndhurst estate in Tarrytown.  It was closed to tours, but we did enjoy walking the grounds:

Our next stop was Sunnyside, the home of Washington Irving.  A docent in period dress showed us around:

We were not allowed to photograph in the house, but the tour was very interesting.  The tour ended in the back yard:
