Winter 2020 Trip, Day 35: Chickasaw NRA, Clinton Birthplace Home NHS

Good morning from the town park in San Jon, New Mexico:

I drove west into Texas, then Oklahoma and visited Chickasaw National Recreation Area:

I ran the nature trail, visiting the springs that made this park famous:

I continued into Arkansas to visit President William Jefferson Clinton Birthplace Home National Historic Site:

I overnighted at the Walmart of Bryant, Arkansas.  See the trip map for today’s drive.

Winter 2020 Trip, Day 33: Las Vegas

We enjoyed Shabbos in Las Vegas’ Henderson suburb, spending time with my parents and our family back together.  It was also nice seeing our friends from the Shul.

This morning I ran the 8ish miles on the Mccullough Trail from Anthem to Henderson:

After my run, Trish and I and my parents hiked up to the top of the local hill to look down on their neighborhood:

This afternoon we visited with Tricia’s relatives, then returned to my parents’ house for dinner.

Trish and the kids flew back to New York late this evening.  Tomorrow I start driving back to New York.

Winter 2020 Trip, Day 31: Glamis to Las Vegas Reposition, Tule Springs Fossil Beds NM

This morning was dead calm, and overnight my landing zone was parked in by off-roaders coming for the big weekend, so a launch was risky.  We decided to pack up and drive north to Las Vegas where Trish and B will be flying in for a weekend with my parents.

On the way to Vegas we stopped in Boulder City at the information center for Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument:

Good Shabbos from Las Vegas!  See the trip map for today’s drive.
