Winds aloft were much stronger and coming from a different direction than on the surface, so there was significant shearing at altitude.  I didn’t stay up long:

After homeschool, we went for a walk looking for fossils:

We found quite a few shell fossils:

On the way back to the RV, these two burros showed up:
