Today we visited the library to check out a couple books for the kids. We also looked at 5th wheel “bunk house” RVs. We’ve been toying with the idea of transitioning to a larger RV for some time now. We really liked the Coachmen Chaparral 345BHS and the Heartland Gateway 3650.
We visited the rest of the Quartzsite shows. For most of them, we didn’t even stop the car, as they are much smaller than the two big shows we saw yesterday.
Back at the RV, we were treated to another wonderful Arizona sunset, during which the kids and I played Frisbee until dinner:

Looking at the floor plans you linked to for the Coachmen Chaparral 345BHS and the Heartland Gateway 3650. It looks like the kids can’t access their bunk room at all, unless the slides are fully deployed. The slide wall blocks the door on both plans when retracted. I do believe the exterior door to the 1/2 bath will come in handy though.
that’s right Denny, those rooms cant be accessed unless both slides are deployed. That’s a big problem for us, since we stay at Walmart, and one of their conditions for overnighting there is that we do not deploy the slides. On the other hand, it’s a great way to lock the kids in their rooms if they’re being bad. 🙂
