This morning I went for a ride with John and Karen, who rode their tandem. They set a brisk pace and it was a great ride:
M did a science experiment involving saturation of salts in water:

Shabbos was nice and relaxing. I went for a walk and met Kelly and Mike (FollowTheTumbleweed) and Hector and Brenda (IslandGirlWalkabout) They left Shabbos afternoon, and were part of a much larger group of folks our age, some with kids, who were here for a while and for the most part left last week.
Today we got off to a bit of a late start. We did a full day of homeschool with the kids, including their class on Stencyl programming:

Another beautiful sunset:

B did a bit of ocotillo photography:

I went up and sat on the roof of the RV and thought about how incredibly fortunate we are to be able to do what we’re doing:

Today we started using the 200 in 1 electronic project lab. Other than cosmetic changes to the front grill, it’s exactly the same as the kit I had as a kid:

B did project 1, which was quite complicated to wire up. When completed, it did a simulated roulette wheel on the bottom half of the 7-segment LED:

This morning I went for a ride with John, whom I met here last year on Day 175. We rode around town and then up to the overlook halfway up Montezuma Grade:

Trish made Purim-themed jewelry for an upcoming craft show in Las Vegas:

The thermostat exaggerates a bit, but with humidity this low, 80 degrees was just perfect:

B sewed a skirt for herself:

The Shabbos table is set:

Shabbos is almost here:

Good Shabbos from Anza Borrego State Park!
It’s a beautiful day here in Anza Borrego State Park. We’re expecting highs in the mid 70s for the next week or so:

The kids built a path to the RV from the gravel road we used to access this area:

In the afternoon, we drove into the town of Borrego Springs to check out library books. Not a bad start for our extended stay here.
After shopping, dumping sewer, filling water, and doing 16 days-worth of laundry, we drove east and south from the Palm Springs area to Anza Borrego State Park, where we will be staying for a few weeks. This after-sunset photo doesn’t do the scenery justice, but it does show some of the hundreds of RVs dispersed camping over this vast area:

We parked our RV in the same spot we used when we were here from Day 175 through Day 190. Feel free to take a look back at all the amazing things there are to see and do here!
See the trip map for today’s drive and our current location.
