Today I brought over the pair of Group 29 batteries from the old RV and took the pair of Group 24 batteries that came with the new RV and put them in the old RV.  Since the Group 29s are quite a bit larger, they don’t fit in the battery compartment, so I moved the batteries to the forward compartment.  Batteries outgas hydrogen when charging, so I built a box for them with a vent to the original battery compartment, which is ventilated.  This prevents hydrogen gas from accumulating in the front compartment, which could lead to an explosion:

I also installed an indoor/outdoor wireless thermostat.  When they say about Las Vegas “It’s a dry heat”, they’re not kidding:

Trish has been cooking for Passover for the last couple of days.  Observant Jews are careful to eliminate any leavened products from their ownership for Passover, so our purchase of the new RV at this time was quite fortuitous, as the new RV has never had food in it.  We will sell our old RV to a non-Jew for the duration of the holiday, so we don’t have to carefully clean out the old RV.  Tonight we did our final search for Chometz, so we’re ready for Passover starting tomorrow night!

I moved over the inverter and the solar controller.  There’s so much more room to work in here!

The first step was to remove the three TVs that were installed, starting with the kid’s room:
