We had a great Shabbos here in Las Vegas. This morning, I went for an “A” club ride with Green Valley Cyclists. We stopped at the general store in the former company town of Blue Diamond:
At mile 45, I cramped up and had to drop out of the peloton. The 20 miles after that were slow and painful, but eventually I made it home:
After homeschool, I went for a ride with a local rider to poke at nearby climbs. From the top, much of the metro area is visible:

Continued bad weather here at Merrymeeting Field is preventing PPG flights. We managed to have a productive day of homeschooling today, and Trish did some more baking:

As sometimes happens, the weather turned perfect just in time for Shabbos. Hopefully this good weather will hold and I can fly on Sunday:

Today we left the fairgrounds in Truro and drove south to Dartmouth, where we did laundry. We had to park about five minutes walk from the Laundromat and carry our laundry back, which was not so much fun. Trish and the kids did homeschool in the RV while I did the laundry. After lunch, Trish made Shabbos dinner and I went for a bike ride. The route took me by some pretty lakes:
After I returned, we moved the RV to the Walmart in Dartmouth for Shabbos. This will be our first Shabbos in a Walmart parking lot:

It’s another cloudy day here at the Moncton Casino, but at least it’s cooler today:
After homeschool, Trish and the kids went shopping, and I went for a bike ride. I almost immediately met up with Pablo, a local cyclist, and he proceeded to take me for a 35 mile tour of the area with 2200 feet of climbing:

Tomorrow we will hit the road, bound for Nova Scotia.
