I moved over the inverter and the solar controller. There’s so much more room to work in here!

The first step was to remove the three TVs that were installed, starting with the kid’s room:

We installed towel bars and TP holders:

I moved over the solar panels, leaving the smaller controller and its single panel behind:

This is going to take a while.
The fancy new kitchen:

The kids move their clothing over to the new bunkhouse:

The new RV is a bit bigger:

The view is amazing considering we’re only 10 minutes from Lowe’s in Las Vegas:

The larger of the two (!) bathrooms:

We left my parent’s house at 5am to insure that we arrived at the border by 11am for B’s filling appointment in Los Algodones, Mexico:

Quite a bit more is available over the counter here:

Next we drove to Country Club RV to pick up our new RV! Here we are hitching up our 2014 Avalanche 360RB:

The kids wait inside the RV until we’re ready to leave:

Here we go!

We stopped for dinner in Arizona on the way back and captured this blurry portrait of our new monster. More photos coming soon!

When we returned to Las Vegas, we dropped off the new RV on BLM land, then went back to my parent’s house and brought the old RV here too. We finished up at 2:30am, 22 hours after we woke up. Tomorrow we will start moving our belongings across.
The fifth wheel hitch arrived from Amazon on Friday, so today was the day to install it as we are picking up the new RV tomorrow. The rails have to be very carefully positioned in the bed and holes are then drilled through the bed:

Getting the fifth wheel hitch up into the bed:

Both rails installed. Drilling holes in a brand new truck is scary!

Installing the fifth wheel hitch supports:

Tightening the frame supports for hitch:

All done!

We’re sleeping at my Parent’s house tonight and will be leaving here at 5am to head to Yuma for our new RV!
